Father Hennepin Park Minneapolis

The pictures really do say it all.  The fall colors are amazing right now and Minneapolis is a beautiful city.

My dad tells me that he used to "hang out" at this park back in the day...I wonder...maybe someday I can tell my kids that too.  After all, grandpa did take us for a short hike there today.  Hopefully, the Stone Arch Bridge and the river will stick around long enough, not so sure what the future holds for the historic Pillsbury building.

Production in the Pillsbury mill ceased in 2003 and the mill lay empty since.  In 2011, the National Trust for Historic Preservation included the mill on its list of the 11 Most Endangered Places.  Built in 1881, it held the title of largest flour mill in the world for 40 years.

Intriguing place that old building.
